Xiaomi May Launch Three Foldable Phones in 2021 – 3 Types of Foldables Expected

Do you think that foldable smartphone is next big thing in upcoming years? Yes, seems like many smartphone giants are all set to launch various foldable phones in upcoming year.

The big news for today is that Xiaomi is all set to launch 3 different foldable phones in 2021. This information is revealed by Ross Young who is CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). Ross Young shared this information on his Twitter handle. Earlier news were already out that Xiaomi is working on Foldable smartphone and seems like it’s confirmed now.

Not just Xiaomi, but other Smartphone making companies like OPPO and Samsung are also ready to launch some amazing foldable smartphones in coming time. Young also shared another tweet stating that Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 phone will have smaller main display and cover display.

As per Ross Young’s Tweet, the next foldable smartphone to hit in the market will likely from Xiaomi. Young also said that Xiaomi is expected to launch 3 foldable smartphones in next year 2021. All three smartphones will have different folding types. The first will be outfolding, the second will be in-folding and the third will be clamshell.

Young didn’t mentioned anything about the models. Earlier this year there was a rumour that Xiaomi ordered Samsung Display and LG Display for foldable OLED panels for a clamshell-type phone. So, seems like rumours were all true as we are seeing some progress towards it.

So, this news is quite excited for Xiaomi fans as they will experience some new kind of phones in their hands soon.

As mentioned above Young also shared other tweet where he mentioned that Samsung may also launch Galaxy Z Fold 3 with smaller display compared to earlier model Galaxy Z Fold 2.
